The Adirondack State Park, also known as the Adirondack Park is a large state park in northeast New York.

It is the largest state park in the United States, covering a land area about the size of Massachusetts, although more than half the land within is privately owned, including several villages and hamlets and Adirondack Regional Airport

All of our lean-tos are fully accessible either by ramp or by transfer from a wheelchair and are equipped with a fold-down bed, fireplace and picnic table

We have picnic sites for those that choose to come for the day or just want a quiet spot away from it all to enjoy their lunch

Shown here is the American Beech Picnic area.

Our network of miles of trails will give you the opportunity to take a nature hike or just find a quiet place in the woods to watch which of nature's creatures will pass by.

When you get to the Osprey Point overlook be sure to stop and see if our resident osprey family in at home. They've been living on Grampus Lake for over 18 years and one of our friendly staff may stop by to answer your questions.

If you're a person that likes being around the water, we have that too. The photo on the left shows some guests checking out the canoe/kayak dock. Notice the removable wood bumpers and carpeted deck to make transferring into your boat easy and comfortable.

The ramp at the end of the dock allows people to easily drive their chair onto our pontoon boat for a ride around the lake to see the loons or even to go fishing in deeper water.

If you would rather fish from shore, on our fishing dock are a set of higher rails so you can lean your fishing rod on them while baiting your hook.

Here at International Paper John Dillon Park we try to tread lightly upon the earth

All of our electricity comes from solar power and every site has a modern, low-impact latrine with a composting toilet.

So bring your family, an old friend, or get together with new friends and come to John Dillon Park for a day of picnicking, hiking and nature study or plan an overnight stay in one of our spacious lean-tos.
